Our Areas of Acitvity

The Legislative Office coordinates ongoing and planned legislative projects, structures the processes that are relevant for the legislation and is responsible for creating general standards. It supports the legal and data protection employees who are involved in the legislation. It also directly manages or supports individual legislative projects.

 

In addition to our activities in the area of contract law, we also provide advice on questions related to intellectual property law, property law and procurement law. We also provide advice and support on legislative projects in the area of the university’s continuing education programs.

 

We provide advice and support to the responsible organizational units of the university on questions related to employment and labor law. We also provide advice and support on questions related to copyright law, laws related to studies and education and, in general, on legislative projects.

 

The University of Zurich places great value on protecting personal data and complying with the relevant legal provisions. Data protection affects all of us, whether as individuals about whom data is collected and processed, or as employees, researchers and students who collect and process data. The data protection law team at the University of Zurich provides advice and support to the responsible organizational units, employees and researchers on questions related to data protection. It also reviews contracts if they involve data protection topics.
